NTPC spurns Indian Oil Haldia power plan offer
The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has refused to join hands with the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for the latter's 606mw refinery residue-based power project at Haldia in West Bengal.
Reliance Petroleum likely to team up with Petronet for mega pipeline plan
Reliance Petroleum has indicated that it will team up with Petronet India for its mega 3000 kilometre pipeline plan. The company will first prepare a detailed feasibility report (DFR) which will be submitted to Petronet for deciding the future course of action. RPL, Petronet and the Indian Oil Corporation will be the main co-promoters of this project.
Indal likely to lay off 600 workers at 3 units through golden handshake
Indian Aluminium Co has drawn up a blueprint for a new voluntary retirement scheme, aimed at three plants and likely to be made effective from January next year. The company aims to reduce total headcount by around 600, mainly at the plants at Belur in West Bengal, Alupuram in Kerala and Belgaum in Karnataka.
