Sista's Worldcom throws open arena for business achiever award

Mumbai, Dec 9: Sista's Worldcom, the Indian partner of the New York-based Worldcom Group, has started inviting nominations for the coveted `India Young Business Achiever (IYBA) Award. The IYBA award is an integral part of World Young Business Achiever (WYBA) Award of the Worldcom group. World finalists from more than 20 countries including the US, UK, Scotland, China, Philippines and South Africa are expected to compete for the WYBA 1999 title to be held on April 24, 1999, at Lisbon, Portugal.The 1999 winner will be selected by a distinguished panel of judges comprising who's who of India like SA Dave, Harsh Goenka, KV Kamath, Uday Kotak, Deepak Parekh, Parvinder Singh, Simone Tata, Tarjani Vakil to name a few. The panel headed by Keshub Mahindra will select the winner based on world-wide selection criteria such as remarkable merit of achievement, outstanding business strategy, innovation and creativity, impact of management and personal philosophy, social awareness and responsibility , interpersonal andcommunication skills and global vision. Achal Bakeri of Symphony brand of appliances, Pradeep Kar of Microland and Raghavendra Rao of Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals have been the proud recipients of this coveted award in the past representing India in the Belfast, London and New Foundland world finals respectively. Young entrepreneurs under 40, running their own enterprise for a minimum of three years are eligible to compete in this event. They can either be nominated or nominate themselves.
