December 12: The 250-million deutsche mark Komet group of Germany has set up its liaison office in Bangalore. Komet Prazisionswerkzeuge Robert Breuning GmbH is contemplating to set up a precision tools manufacturing facility in the country.The company is also in talks with two-wheeler manufacturers, who make 4-stroke engines, to supply its tooling systems.
Komet has already offered such systems to Bajaj Auto, said Komet general manager (Indian operations) S Ravishankar. Ravishankar said the company is also supplying tooling systems to Tata's car project.
