The joint venture will endeavour to offer Movex to various industries including automobiles, food and beverage, fashion, steel, paper and pulp.

Intentia director Anders Hellermak told The Financial Express that his company would not have majority control in the venture. He said that Micotech was the sole distributor of Movex to Hindustan Motors, Dr Wilmar Schwabe India, Guindy Machine Tools, RMI Steel Strips and Grunding Electronics India.

Hellermak said that with the growing market for enterprise management systems, his company plans to achieve a turnover of $1.2 billion by 2002. Mictorech, which has been providing IT solutions and services in hardware and software for thelast 10 years, has recorded a turnover of Rs 35 crore in 1997-98.

He said that his company has marketed and supplied Movex to Mexx, Holland (fashion company), Procordia, Scandanavia (food), Sandvik, Sweden (steel company) and Jerard Group, Australia (electronics). "The Movex application contains fully-integrated components that provide the support companies in the manufacturing and distribution need. it also offers enterprise wide solutions for logistics, manufacturing, finance, marketing and human resources," he added.

Hellermark said that the Movex Enterprise Management Application has many supporting functions covering most requirements in most industries. Specific solutions for fashion, food and beverage, furniture, paper and pulp, steel, aviation and automotive have been specially developed.

Movex is used for project order manufacturing where design, production, engineering and procurement are customer order based. It can be used for discrete manufacturing, repetitive manufacturing, processmanufacturing and service operations. Movex also supports wholesale and distribution enterprises, retailers with large volumes and distribution network enterprises with regional and local warehouses.
