PUNE, DEC 13: The MIDC will be setting aside space in its new Infotech park coming up at Hinjavde, Pune in order to meet the needs of small players who prefer built-up space to plots. Apart from plots, the MIDC will also be constructing a 20,000 sq ft building to provide office space for small companies. It will have a business incubation centre to nurture first generation entreprenerus and new entrants in business.The Mahratta Chambers of Commerce, Industries and Agriculturewas asked to find out the needs of the smaller IT companies.
MIDC will invest Rs 30 crore in developing the infrastructure for the park at Hindjavdi, 13 km from Pune. The STP, Pune and VSNL too will open their offices here.
Though much of the plot space is already booked in the first phase of the Pune Infotech park, the development of a second phase at Hinjavdi is being actively considered.
