Agarwal, who led with 213 of the 284 votes was followed by Sukhwinder Gupta with 197 votes. Others on the group are Surinder Kumar Uboveja (183), Bharat Bhushan Sahny (181), Mukand Mohan Chugh (177), former DSE vice-president Sanjay Kaul (168), Ramesh Goel (155) and Subhash Chand Shorewala (142). A member-broker said Agarwal has emerged as the unanimous choice for president and will be formally elected in the nxet few days. "However, the vice-president will be a tough choice with the earlier favourite Sanjay Kaul polling few votes compared to many others on the group", he added. The losing group, led by former DSE president Arjun Kapur whoclocked 119 votes, included past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants KM Agarwal (128) and sitting director Vinay Gupta.
