Reserve Bank plans recast; VRS for staff
Reserve Bank of India governor Bimal Jalan has embarked on a massive restructuring of the country's central bank. Also on the cards is a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) -- likely to be floated in the first quarter of the next fiscal.

Ministry seeks to mop up Rs 1,500 cr via Samadhan
The finance ministry is expecting a minimum realisation of Rs 1,500 crore from the Kar Vivad Samadhan Scheme (KVSS) which will end on December 31.

Lok Sabha passes customs, income-tax bills
