Seoul, Jan 13: South Korea's Hyundai Group is considering selling off all its stakes in three telecommunications services firms before the end of this year.A spokesman at the group's electronics arm Hyundai Electronics Industries said the group would soon begin negotiations with potential buyers of its shares.
Affiliates of the group currently hold 6.21 per cent of Dacom, 15.62 per cent of unlisted Onse Telecom and 6.5 per cent of unlisted Hanaro Telecom.
The Hyundai Group earlier said it would focus solely on semiconductor production semicon of the LG Group.
After coming under considerable pressure from the government and its creditors, LG Group agreed earlier this month to relinquish its entire stake in the chipmaking unit to Hyundai.
