BSE depository gets SEBI nod to flag off operations
The Bombay Stock Exchange-promoted Central Depository Services has finally got the nod from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to kick-off operations. The regulator gave the commencement of operation to the second depository in the country on Monday.
Yo-yo Sensex closes below 3,200 points
Share prices plunged headlong on Monday afternoon after opening strong in the morning. The Sensex closed at 3183.64 points, lower by 31.71 points from Friday's close, but down 97 points from the day's high of 3280.63. S&P Nifty closed at 916.50, down 19.80%.
Centre seeks NRIs support for core sector
The government on Monday sought the support of non-residents Indians in the development of the infrastructure sector for the overall development of the nation.
