Petronet LNG equity structure may be recast to accommodate NTPC
Two oil PSUs may need to step down from the equity structure of Petronet LNG to accommodate the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) as partner. The two will, however, be allowed to participate in the equity of Petronet's subsidiaries--Petronet Dahej and Petronet Cochin.

Bihar placed under President's rule
President's rule has been imposed in Bihar and the state assembly has been placed under suspended animation. President KR Narayanan accepted the Cabinet recommendation to this effect on Friday night and dismissed the Rabri Devi Government.

Sinha may hike customs duty on semi-fabricated products
The aluminium industry, which has its fingers crossed over a revision in customs duties, may get a `swadeshi' surprise in the form of a slight customs-duty hike for semi-fabricated products and perhaps even primary metal.
