Icra, CIDC to unveil ratings for constrcution, core plans
Rating agency ICRA and Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) jointly plan to set up an independent grading instrument to grade the various construction agencies like the project owner, the contractor or the construction company, the consultant and the project itself in order to check the proliferation of fly-by-night operators and ensure timely completion of projects.
Rs 50,000cr plans to chart out new road-map
India's road map will undergo a radical transformation with an estimated 13,000 km national highway slated to be laid out in next 10 years, according to National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) chairman Deepak Das Gupta.
Insurance schemes for children, women unveiled
Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has said that private sector insurance companies would soon be entering the market to compete with the existing players. While dedicating the Bhagyashree and Rajrajeshwari scheme for the child and women to the nation on Friday, he also stressed that "all the future companies should show their commitment to every section of the society."
