With a view to provide a meeting ground for quality system practitioners, experts and users, the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in collaboration with the Scottish Enterprise Foundation (University of Sterling, UK) and with the assistance of the Department For International Development (DFID) of the UK government launched a Quality Forum (India) in 1996. This forum has chapters in Pune, Tarapur and Ahmednagar besides the headquarters at NMIMS, Mumbai. In order to give effect to the mission of the Quality Forum to spread the quality movement, it is intended to launch the Quality Movement Leadership Lecture Series for the year 1999, with active support of the corporate entities.Quality Forum (India), under the chairmanship of YK Bhushan, director NMIMS and secretary Bhushan Dewan along with a dedicated band of students of the institute, is launching the quality movement through a leadership lecture series.
In this lecture series, eminent public personalities would share their thoughts on waysand means of installing quality improvement. The first lecture of this series will be held on April 16th, 1999 at NMIMS, Mumbai.
The chief guest for the lecture will be Santosh Goenka, Executive Publisher, Business Publication Division, Indian Express Newspapers. The lecture will be addressed by Ashok Mansukhani, chief operating officer, IN-Mumbai Network, Ramakant Pilani, managing director, Ganesh Benzoplast and Jack Gilles, Institute of Cultural Affairs. The chief sponsor for the lecture is the software education company SSI.
