Bayer, Zydus group part ways, jettison plan to set up venture
German multinational Bayer AG and the Ahmedabad-based Zydus group on Friday said they will "not pool their pharmaceuticals interest in India in the form of a joint venture".
Finance ministry to chalk out code for corporate governance
The finance ministry has taken the initiative to evolve a code of "desirable corporate governance". A formal set of conduct rules, some of which may have to be compulsorily adopted by corporates, are expected to be announced by the BJP-led Government.
Sebi plans to grill 34 brokers in fresh BPL rigging case
The Securities and Exchange Board of India plans to question 34 brokers in the price-rigging case in BPL shares during the period February to March 1999. This follows a probe by the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) into the same case in April.
