Indo Rama Dolvi unit goes on streamNon-resident Indian SP Lohia-promoted Indo Rama Cements Ltd (IRCL) on Monday commissioned its Rs 150-crore one million tonne portland slag cement project at Dolvi in Maharashtra. Announcing commissioning of the project, Lohia, who is also managing director of Indonesia-based PT Indo Rama, said the technologically blended cement would offer many advantages over conventional cement, besides being environment-friendly as it uses slag - a by-product of steel plants - as input, the company said in a statement.
Gestetner to set up duplicator unit
Gestetner India Limited is acquiring a duplicating machine manufacturing plant in Calcutta by June-end, a top company official said. ``We are negotiating for buying out a plant and hope to wrap it up by the end of next month. It will be the sole manufacturing plant for Gestetner duplicators for our global markets,'' Gestetner India Limited managing director Paul Wilkinson told newspersons in Calcutta onMonday.
Marketrieve Plus from Sovika
The Mumbai-based Sovika Infotek Private Ltd (SIPL) on Monday launched countrywide a sales force automation software, Marketrieve Plus. ``The software is a marketing system supporting various sales functions for all types of sales forces, including telemarketing, field sales, direct sales and sales through representatives,'' SIPL chairman Sohan Mehta told newspersons in Mumbai. Mehta Corporation has appointed SIPL as the sole distributor for Marketrieve Plus in Asia and the product is being launched first in India, he said.
L&T's new medical equipment
Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) medical equipment division launched its three equipment -- Symphony with ultrasound scanner, Saphire and Digital 400 -- in Mumbai on Monday. The Symphony is priced at Rs 5.5 lakh.
