M&M net down 9% to Rs 228.58 cr
Mahindra & Mahindra, has registered a 9.1% drop in its net profits for 1998-99 to Rs 228.58 crore even as net income showed a marginal rise of Rs 83.23 crore over the previous year to Rs 3571.35 crore.
BSES net up 4% to Rs 270.24 cr
Power utility major BSES has posted a net profit of Rs 270.24 crore for the year 1998-99, registering a marginal 4% rise over previous year's Rs 262.27 crore.
Essar Steel slips into red; net loss at Rs 496.45 cr
Essar Steel has plunged deep into the red with a whopping Rs 496.45-crore net loss for the 1998-99 fiscal against a Rs 24.7-crore profit in the previous fiscal, despite a reduction in interest charges and higher other income.
