Pune, May 31: Kirloskar Brothers Ltd has registered a net profit of Rs 16.13 crore for year ended March 31, 1999 bettering last year's performance of Rs 10.74 crore.Sales and income from operations has gone up marginally from Rs 337.53 crore last year to Rs 339.74 crore this year. Other income has gone up significantly from Rs 5.1 crore to Rs 9.5 crore.
Gross profit is up from last year's Rs 19.31 crore to Rs 27.86 crore for year ended March 31, 1999 indicating a 44 per cent jump. The reduction of high cost borrowings and control over expenditure has helped the company improve performance despite difficult market conditions.
While interest costs have come down from last years Rs 15.52 crore to Rs 13.68 crores the total expenditure has been maintained at Rs 307.77 crore.
