Hyderabad, May 31: The board of directors of Godavari Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (GFCL) has recommended 15 per cent dividend for the financial year ended March 1999.For the year 1998-99, GFCL has posted a net profit of Rs 31.79 crore, a jump of 5.4 per cent over last year's Rs 30.16 crore. It has registered a growth of 22 per cent in its gross sales to Rs 905.46 crore over previous year's Rs 740.53 crore.
It has posted a gross profit of Rs 58.50 crore before charging interest and depreciation against Rs 50.43 crore in the last year.
On the production front, the company has achieved a all-time high capacity utilisation of 113 per cent with the production of 6.40 lakh MTs of DAP and 20:20:0:15 during the year under review as against the prodution of 5.43 lakh in previous year. In the year under review, GFCL has captured 64 per cent of the market share in AP in DAP with a sale of 4.00 lakh MTs as against 3.53 lakh MTs in last year. It has also improved the sales of fertilisers as it sold 7.37 lakhtonnes during the year as against 6.30 lakh tonnes last year.
