Exports will be an integral part of the strategy of this new company said Kalyani Carpenter chairman BN Kalyani. The company expects to gradually build up exports to a level of 25 per cent of its production of high value- added specialty steels within three years. This it hopes to be achieve with the help of Carpenter Technology and its extensive distribution network all over the world.

Kalyani Steels and Carpenter Technology hold 74 per cent and 26 per cent respectively in Kalyani Carpenter. The company has been formed to manufacture high value-added steels like stainless steel, tool steel, and die steel for the world markets. These products will find high-techapplications in the automotive, electronics and engineering industries.
