Indirect tax collections spurt 18% in May
Excise collections have registered a growth of 23% in May 1999 over the same month last year. Customs collections too have shown a remarkable increase of 14.8% in May over the same period in 1998.

Profit-sharing, dividend norms for undertakings may be revamped
The finance ministry wants a revamp of the profit sharing and dividend paying policy in all undertakings in which the Government has substantial shareholding.

Task force wants 30-yr lease for 4 airports
