Kermit, Hallmark Entertainment Network launched

New Delhi, June 8: Hallmark has announced the formal launch of the kids entertainment channel, Kermit Channel, and premier movie channel, Hallmark Entertainment Network.

The two channels are being exclusively distributed through Modi Entertainment Network in India.

Hallmark Entertainment Network and Kermit Channel vice-president and managing director Jeffrey Johnson said that India has emerged as the most important market for pay television in Asia.

He added that over the next few months Hallmark will be making several major announcements emphasising the unique market positions that the Hallmark channels fulfill as well as the network's investment and dedication to the region.

After establishing itself in Australia, Europe, Latin America, England and South-east Asia, Hallmark Entertainment Network has been launched in India to cater to the country's audience at large.

Currently, Hallmark is available in 65 countries and 30 languages. Hallmark channel will feature absorbing family dramas, grippingthrillers and epic mini series, which are specially made for the entire family.

Kermit Channel is joint venture between two of the biggest names in children and family entertainment, Jim Henson Co and Hallmark Entertainment, who over the past 40 years have set the standard in innovative and captivating children and family programming.
