Paes, Bhupathi to endorse J Hampstead

After the cricketers, the spotlight has shifted to the tennis stars. Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupati who have just won their first grand slam trophy by winning the French Open are now going to be brand ambassadors for J Hampstead to promote their range of suitings.

J Hampstead, part of the Siyaram Poddar Group is a premium brand of fabric woven utilising the latest textile technology and computer aided designs for Siyaram alone. Leander and Mahesh will endorse all the products under the brand that includes suitings, shirtings, ready-made garments and fabrics for a period of three years.

Aviance unveils Clear acne pads

Aviance Beauty Solutions, the international range of customised beauty solutions, by Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) has unveiled its `clear acne pads' in the country. The clear acne pads are cleansing pads that offer protection from recurring acne and pimples on the skin. These pads are easy to use and reduce the appearance of pimples byremoving oiliness and cleansing the pores in one single step. Recommended for normal to oily skin types, the new product is ideal as a middle of the day cleansing toner, especially for working women.

B&L launches Soflens Toric

Bausch & Lomb has introduced monthly disposable Soflens66 Toric contact lenses for astigmatism. According to the company, it is the first and only Toric lens with highly stable Lo-Torque design which provides higher lens stability, vision clarity, comfort and ease-of-fit to the wearer. The new lenses will be imported from the US. Priced at Rs 7,500, the new lenses will be available with select Bausch & Lomb eye care practitioners.

Specialised service from SITA

SITA World Travel (I) Ltd has opened a special division offering specialised services under the name Conf+X (pronounced confex) to provide expert conference and exhibition management services on any scale. It offers a complete range of marketing, secretariat and public relations services for both business andtrade events like buyer-seller meets, trade shows, exhibitions, marketing events, product launches or road shows.

Flash Light umbrellas

Mumbai-based Penguin Umbrellas Pvt Ltd., has launched Flash Light three-fold umbrellas in the market. These umbrellas have an in-built torch and are priced in the range of Rs 295 to Rs 305. Available for both men and women, Penguin umbrellas come in plain shades of Navy blue, grey, and black as well as prints. Penguin has also launched a pencil shaped umbrella for kids which can be easily carried in school bag and used as a pencil box too. Called `small wonder', it sports cartoon characters and is available at Rs 201.

The 1999 Toon awards Cartoon Network will organise the 1999 Cartoon Network Awards in July this year. The channel has invited viewers to choose from a list of star studded nominees in five categories including the `most macho', `the best dressed', `the cutest toon star', `the grooviest toon', and `the best catch phrase' to vote for their favouriteToon.

The event is being sponsored by Top Ramen. Cartoon Network will showcase each nominee in commercials specially created to highlight the respective categories on air between June 14 to 30. Viewers can send in their votes either by writing to Cartoon Network or filling out entry forms enclosed in Top Ramen packs.
