"We have two formulations ready--a cough and cold therapy and another low-calorie sweetener which we plan to introduce this year," Morepen Laboratories general manager (sales) and head of customer care division, Manoj Pahwa, said.

The company is aiming at the branded formulations and OTC drugs sector to take advantage of the patent regime that will come into effect from 2005, he said.

"This year we are investing about Rs 8 to 10 crore in the customer care division to develop our OTC brands," he said.
