Bunka Orient in tie-up with Lead Technologies

Bunka Orient India has entered into a strategic tie-up with Lead Technologies Inc of the US to promote the American company's products in India. At present, BOI has introduced Lead's multimedia and multimedia Pro in the market. Leadtools Multimedia lets users stream multimedia files such as Microfost's Active Movie and Apple Quicktime and quickly create client server applications to run over the internet. With Leadtools, editing multimedia, video, internet imaging, video e-mail and video conferencing can be much easier, the company said.

Seagate cuts price of Barracuda ATA

Seagate Technology has slashed the price of its high-end Barracuda ATA 7,200 rpm hard disk drive to bring it to the level of the price of a 5,400 rpm drive. With this, Seagate claims to have become the first company to offer a drive capacity upwards of 28 GB for desktop computers. The Barracuda ATA is the world's most rugged disk drive, being able to withstand 300 giga secondnon-operating shock.

IBM Global Services

IBM Global Services has expanded its relationship with Citrix Systems by joining the company's enterprise solutions provider channel programme. Validating the mainstream enterprise adoption of server-based computing, IBM Global Services will provide consulting, outsourcing and system integration services for Citrix MetaFrame and WinFrame server-based computing software across Global 1000 companies. In addition, IBM Global Services will manage IBM Corporation's own worldwide deployment of Citrix server-based technology across its divisions.
