US-64 dividend cut to Rs 1.35 a unit
The Unit Trust of India has declared a tax-free dividend of Rs 1.35 for Unit Scheme-64 for 1998-99. This works out to a yield of 9.64% on last year's July sale price of Rs 14. Last year.
Vajpayee clears cabinet note on telecom
The Government has dropped the proposal imposing a five-year lock-in period on promoters' shareholding in private telecom service companies from the final Cabinet note which has been cleared by Prime Minister AB Vajpayee.
