Bulls eye 4500 Sensex level this week
Market participants expect the Sensex to scale the 4500-level this week. News of Indian troops capturing the vital Tiger Hills coupled with signs of a relenting Paksitan drove the Sensex up by 112 points on Monday.
Rupee rejoices, climbs 13 paise to touch 43.23
The rupee bounced back to gain 13 paise against the dollar to close at 43.23/25 on Monday as news of the army recapturing Tiger Hill and the agreement between US President Bill Clinton and Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Sharif agrees to pull out forces
Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif has promised US President Bill Clinton to withdraw Pakistan-backed forces from the Indian side of the LoC in Kargil even as Washington called for speedy resumption of India-Pakistan talks for resolving all issues, including Kashmir.
