Samsung's state-of the-art VCD playerSamsung India Electronics Ltd has launched a state-of-the-art, champagne coloured video CD player priced at Rs 14,450. The wireless PCB design of the VCD eliminates the possibility of signal interference and ensures clear pictures and sound, says the company. Other advanced features include compatibility with PAL and NTSC Video CD, 3 disc changer function, high speed search and an in-built game mode. The company expects to further consolidate its position and attain a 30 per cent market share in the video CD market this year through its new models. It is promoting its VCD players with an offer of 10 software titles free with the purchase of a player.
HP netserver for SMBs
Hewlett-Packard India has introduced the HP Netserver E 60 system designed specifically for small-to-medium businesses. The new system combines enhanced features, aggressive pricing and offers the option of a fully-integrated backup solution with disaster-recovery software. The systemis priced at Rs 1,20,000. It allows SMB customers to focus on their businesses rather than their computing systems, says the company.
Two Delhiites win Singapore Tourism promo
Ashok Kumar and V K Dutta of Delhi have won the Once in a Millennium (OIM) promotion luky draw organised by the Singapore Tourism Board.
