TRAI picks holes in satcom fee structure
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has asked the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to clarify the basis of fixing a different licence fee structure for the Subhash Chandra-promoted Afro Asian Satellite Communications Ltd and Iridium India Telecom Ltd (IITL).
Mulayam scoffs at Paswan's overtures

Customs duty on PSF to be slashed to 20% from Jan
The protective customs duty of 35% on polyester staple fibre (PSF) is all set to be reduced to 20% from January 1, 2000, under an agreement with the US and European Union concluded in December 1994.
