EC turns up heat on Centre over telecom plan
The conflict between the Election Commission and the Government over the telecom package reached a flashpoint on Monday with the former expressing its concern over such an important policy change ahead of the elections.

A division bench of the Mumbai high court on Monday urged the government to file within four weeks its response to a petition filed by the Indian Drug Manufacturers Association challenging the amendments to the Patents Rules, 1972.
Centre allows import of used aircraft, choppers
The commerce ministry has permitted import of used aircraft and helicopters by agencies nominated by it. No licence will be required for the purpose as per amendments to the revised Exim policy (1997-2002) notified by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
