Sebi eases IPO norms for infotech firms
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has relaxed the rules governing initial public offerings (IPOs) of infotech companies.
Oil import bill may soar to $9.8 bn
The oil import bill for India this year is expected to be 30% higher than last year's $7.5 billion and will certainly surpass the 1996-97 record, the highest pay-out for oil so far.
VSNL issue in Sept, MTNL mulls GDR, domestic floats
VSNL will reportedly hit the equity market with a retail domestic issue in the middle of September. Meanwhile, MTNL is proposing to launch simultaneous issues of global depository receipts (GDR) and domestic equity.
