SQL ties up with i2Office.com

SQL Star International Ltd on Thursday announcd a tie-up with California-based internet start-up i2Office.com, which is dedicated to providing subscribers with internet services, for developing administrative support tools for use on the website. This is a boost to the expansion plans of SQL Star, Deepak Gard, vice-president strategic alliances, said. While a massive 40,000 sq.ft. facility of the company is coming up at the Hi-Tec City in Hyderabad, SQL has also completed its software development centre at Santa Clara, California, he said.

Rediff relaunches channel

Rediff.com has relaunched its education channel to include a wide range of career-focussed services. Accessible at www.rediff.com/education, graduates can now check out a comprehensive online career resource guide, get vocational guidance and counselling, enroll online for courses, research scholarship opportunities, or simply take part in a discussion with fellow students. Spearheaded by UshaAlbuquerque, author of the Penguin Career Guide volumes, the centre provides information on academic requirements, aptitude checks, job prospects, information on salaries and career growth options across all major industries, according to a press statement.

Satyam in Pact with Mercator

Satyam Computer Services has signed a contract with Mercator, a Dubai-based provider of airline systems for the development of Oracle financial applications suited to the airline industry. The immediate assignment would be to develop a financial package for Sri Lankan Airlines though Mercator is exploring possibilities of marketing it to other airlines also, a company statement said.
