Nicholas Piramal launches Cellcept
Nicholas Piramal India Ltd (NPIL) on Monday announced the launch of a premium research product Cellcept, a unique immuno-suppressive agent to prevent kidney rejection in transplant patients. NPIL, in a statement here, said it has obtained sole distribution rights for Cellcept and will source it from Roche, headquartered at Basle in Switzerland. The company said the product has been proved to be non-toxic to kidney, unlike other immuno-suppressive therapies given to transplant patients.
TVS Electronics bags Rs 4 cr order
TVS Electronics has bagged a Rs 4 crore order to install DOT matrix printers and UPS systems in 735 schools in Tamil Nadu as part of the Tamil Nadu government's school computerisation project. A press release from the company said these DOT matrix printers could be upgraded into Tamil printers by incorporating built-in Tamil fonts.
IAF to buy Aero tyres from Dunlop
Indian Air Force might purchase about 1000 aero tyres and 800tubes from the ailing Dunlop India Ltd. A team of the defence ministry comprising an air marshall, a wing commander and three technicians inspected the materials stacked at Dunlop's Sahagunj factory near Calcutta. The entire stock valued at around Rs 1 crore was taken to Barrackpore base of the air force for further inspection.
BSES prepays Rs 38.50 cr loan
BSES Ltd, the Mumbai-based power company has prepaid the Rs 38.50 crore loan borrowed from the Indian financial institutions, said the company, adding that with this entire Rs 110 crore outstanding from these institutions has been paid off. The company had borrowed this amount for its 500mw Dahanu power plant on a 19 per cent interest rate from various institutions, including Industrial Development Bank of India, IFCI, ICICI and IIBI. The company does not plan to borrow further during the current financial year iscal for its ongoing projects.
