RPG Life sciences unveils Spirudox

The Acumed division of RPG Life Sciences has launched Spirudox, a nutritional supplement, in India. The launch marks the company's entry into the Rs 1,100 crore nutritional supplements, vitamins and anti-oxidants market. It is projecting a turnover of Rs 3 crore in the current year. The company also plans to launch an eco-friendly neem based insecticide, Blokade, later this year.

IDI sells Ranipal brand

IDI has sold its Ranipal brand to Pidilite Industries. The deal covers the sale of the brand as well as the business of optical whitening agents in consumer and retail segments. The manufacturing and marketing of optical whitening agents to the industrial segments will remain with IDI and the latter will continue to use the Ranipal trademark for an agreed period of time.

Seminar on stress management

The Vedanta Life Institute is conducting a one day seminar on September 3, 1999. at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai. The topic is `Reduce stressthrough self-management'. The seminar is addressed to senior corporate personnel in the city. Swami Parthasarthy, founder and head of the Vedanta Life Institute is the course director. A clarification

With reference to `BIFR turns down Diamines plea' which appeared in the August 31 issue, the company has clarified that the company's proposal for change in management is still pending with the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction and the same is slated for a hearing shortly.
