The post-accord developments indicate several problems in the implementation of various Uruguay Round agreements. These relate to dealing with multiplicity of notifications, lack of financial and human resources and building up political consensus on different issue.

Export earnings entitled to full income-tax benefits despite losses
Profits arising from exports are tax-free under the provisions of Section 80-HHC, and in the case of units set up in a free-trade zone or in the case of export-oriented units, such profits are tax-free under Sections 10-A and 10-B of the Income-tax Act, 1961 respectively.

DoT -- Obstructionism is second nature
Sometime ago when the Prime Minister announced that the Information Technology Task Force would write a new National Telecom Policy, the DoT overruled him and got a new task force appointed with itself at the helm. It was called GOT (Group on Telecoms).
