Coca-Cola Freshers takes off in 12 citiesCoca-Cola India has launched a special month-long promotion for college students. Called the Coca-Cola Freshers Take off, it involves a series of jam sessions in a total of 38 colleges across 12 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Calcutta, Lucknow and Kanpur. Each session, spanning 5-6 hours, will have prizes for the best dancing couple, best male/female dancer. The grand finale will take place in October, with exciting contests and prizes. The event is being co-sponsored by Yamaha.
Write Show 99
The Writing Instruments Manufacturers Organisation (WIMO) will organise `Write Show 99' at Mumbai's Nehru Centre from September 29. The event will showcase close to 6,000 new writing instruments and allied products. According to WIMO, the apex body of the Rs 800-crore Indian writing instruments industry, export enquiries and orders worth US$ 15 million are expected from Europe and the Middle East during the exhibition.

AB Electrolux has announced a special promotional offer with its Electracare 1000 fully automatic washing machines - a Sansui 14-inch colour TV worth Rs 8,490 free with each purchase. The offer, which is on since September 20, is valid across Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, HP, J&K, UP and Rajasthan.
Nohria elected AIMA president
K K Nohria, CMD, Crompton Greaves, was unanimously elected president of the All India Management Association (AIMA). He takes over from outgo-ing president Krishan Kalra, MD, Apex Infotech Ltd. Others elected included T T Thomas, ED, Fact Ltd, as senior vice-president and Rajive Kaul, CMD, NICCO Corp Ltd, as vice-president.
