Bangalore, Oct 5: The e-solutions division of Phoenix Global Solutions Ltd (PGS), the Indian arm of Phoenix Global Solutions Inc, is targeting 30 per cent business in the first year of its operation, according to chief operating officer Ramesh Shastri.Shastri said the division would provide strategic and creative consulting and assist clients to develop leading edge, high-impact and tailor-made e-solutions. It would also provide Web-enabled legacy systems, business-to-business solutions and portal and e-commerce services.
PGS is targeting a turnover of $6 million this calendar year and next year, the company hopes to rake in $9 million. During the previous year, it posted a turnover of $3.5 million. Globally, PGS is focusing on building value-based partnership with all its customers by delivering consistent levels of excellence in software services and support, Shastry added.
PGS set up a branch office in Africa on Tuesday to look after the marketing operations of the company in that region. The company is targeting to generate 25 to 30 per cent of its global revenue from South African operations in two years, said PGS managing director Satish Bangalore. "With the removal of trade and business barriers, South Africa has emerged as the economic hub of the African continent and thus, a strategic market for global IT companies," Bangalore said. The focus areas of the company in Africa would include insurance and financial services.
