The courses are short, from seven to 12 days on the fast track and three to 10 weeks for those already working. Says Ajay Alva, general manager, training, MSL, ``The courses have been developed by our curriculum development team, which essentially takes into consideration market expectations.''

MSL claims to have developed an innovative system that takes into account hands-on experience of all the participants at the company's own plant in the NOIDA Export Processing Zone. It will also provide competitive global training across the country. With a focus on high-end products from IBM, Oracle, Microsoft and Sun, MSL wants to work toward providing quality education and training toexisting software professionals and to the corporate sector. MSL has its network spread out in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.

The course fees range from Rs 8,000 to Rs 15,000. All students are expected to work for at least six months on some real project. The period of internship is extendable to one year. According to Alva, the more deserving candidates will be absorbed by the company.

Apart from the training arm, MSL is also heavily into software development, system integration and consultancy organisation and is promoted and managed by a group of qualified and dedicated computer professionals. It has been set up with the main objectives of providing efficiency and cost-effective solutions to information management requirements through innovative applications of latest technology.
