Clearship Forwarders has designed and developed indigenously an end-to-end tracking system of the Net called Infotrans. According to its managing director R Radhakrishnan, ABX Logistics has preferred this product for its worldwide use. Clearship has now been allowed to represent ABX in India and provide logistics solutions to all their global clients.

ABX Logistics has been focussing on IT to improve its services. The Belgian company has also been building its network of logistics companies globally. It has recently acquired a majority stake in Saima Avandero, an Italian transport firm and is finalising plans to pick up a major chunk of stake in Dubois, the $430 million logistics major in France. ABX Logistics has signed a letter of intent with Eurofrete, a major transport and logistics company in Portugal to acquire majority holding in it.

Clearship offers services including vendor management, custom house brokerage, insurance, warehousing, domestic and overseas transportation and information management for seamless logistic support. ``We have been providing one source, multi resource solutions to clients in the international freight forwarding business for the past few years,'' said Radhakrishnan.

The company has a turnover of Rs 2.5 crore and expects an annual growth of around 30 per cent in business.
