IISL announces changes in indices
The index maintenance sub-committee of India Index Services & Products Ltd (IISL) has finalised some changes in various indices to be effective from December 8, 1999. The new inclusions in S&P CNX 500 equity index were IndusInd bank Ltd, Ciba Speciality Chem (India) Ltd, DSQ Software, PSI Data Systems Ltd, Rain Calcining Ltd, Gulf Oil India Ltd, Abbott Lab and Unichem Lab which replaced Mardia Chem Ltd, Prime Securities Ltd, Industrial Oxygen Co Ltd, Synthetics & Chem Ltd, FGP Ltd, Sol Pharma Ltd, Asian Coffee Ltd and Bharati Telecom ltd, an IISL release said.Sebi warns BSE member
Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has warned Gazi Financial Services and Investments Ltd, a member of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) for non-cooperation with the inspecting authority. The warning has been served in terms of sub-regulation (3) of regulation 29 of Sebi rules and regulation 1992, an official release said.
Indian GDRs up
The Indian Global Depository Receipts (GDRs) continued its rally and appreciated further on Thursday, pushing up the Skindia GDR index by 2.02 per cent to 885.43 points, 17.49 points higher from 267.94 of Wednesday. Out of the 65 GDRs, 14 gained, 13 lost while 38 remained unchanged on Thursday.
DSE muhurat session on Sunday
The Delhi Stock Exchange will remain open for one and a half hours on sunday for muhurat trading for 2056 samvat. The muhurat trading will begin at 1900 hrs and close at 2030 hrs. Meanwhile, the local bourse will remain closed on monday. It is a normal practice at the DSE to observe a holiday after Diwali, DSE president Ashok Agarwal said.
