HP appoints general manager
Hewlett-Packard Company's India software operation (HP-ISO) has appointed Rajen Lav as general manager of operations, responsible for IT, commercial, partner alliance, facilities and administration. Lav has been associated with HP since 1989, in various capacities, including country manager-sales, chemical analysis group, HP India. HP-ISO is a wholly-owned subsidiary of HP and was established in 1989 in Bangalore.

NGO Mela from Nov 26 to 28
The Concern India Foundation is holding its annual `NGO Mela' at the Y B Chavan Hall in Mumbai from November 26-28. Organisations working fordestitute children, women, disabled people and the aged, will display their work and sell products made by their beneficiaries. The fair is open to the public from 11.00 am to 9.00 pm. The fair is being sponsored by Colgate Palmolive, Alliance Capital and S Kumar's Finance. Co-sponsors are KPMG Peat Marwick, and the press sponsor is `The Financial Express'.

Wisitex 2000 from March 1
One of world's premier technology and business event, Wisitex 2000-the 11th international exhibition and business summit, will begin in New Delhi from March 1. Organised by the Wisitex Foundation and the Indian Investment Centre, the four-day event will highlight developments in IT.
