Hifunda.com: Banking on e-commerce growth

Net Trade Innovations (P) Ltd promoted by city-based entrepreneur Vijay Jain, on Thursday announced the launch of a business website - Hifunda.com - which will provide surfers with features like auction, barter, sell, matrimonials, real estate, employment and education. The site which is a content service provider has been designed keeping in mind the growth of e-commerce in India.According to company officials at the launch, the e-commerce business in Asia-Pacific is expected to reach $15,000 million by 2002. At present, the revenues from the e-commerce business is around $5,000 million. Jain noted that his site has the facility for transactions through credit card, which will only be available after Parliament approves the Bill on cyberlaws in India. The online site will utilise secure electronic technology for online credit card transactions.
Trigger.com: Garments online from KG Group

The Rs600-crore KG Group of Companies is planning to hawk its garments online through its new website Trigger.com. The e-commerce venture is likely to be in place by January. Although the group is not expecting any major business through the venture, transactions are likely to pick up over a period of few years once the e-commerce law is finalised, KG Denim Ltd business head Dilip R Soman said.
The company would offer popular brands like Trigger and Trevi and a host of other garments through the Net. Details are being worked out and this would help the company retain its status as a major brand.
Meanwhile, the company launched its Trigger Softwear jeans in Bangalore on Thursday. The Softwear range is priced at Rs 600 and come in a range of colours.
