OBC links Delhi, Chennai branches

New Delhi, Dec 6: The Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) has linked its New Delhi and Chennai offices through the Reserve Bank of India's Infinet satellite system for banking applications. The facility was inaugurated on Monday by the chairman and managing director of OBC, Dalbir Singh, from its head office branch in New Delhi, hooking up with the client database in Chennai.

With this facility, customers of New Delhi will be able to transact major banking business deposit/withdrawals, view the screen for any transactional queries, issue pay orders/drafts and debit/credit transfer in Chennai and vice-versa.
