Holistic healing systems and alternative therapies are becoming popular theworld over. According to the theory of holism, the total medical entity of aperson is greater than the sum of all parts of his body. The person'sattitude, consciousness, intellect and soul do not add up as parts of hisbody. So, when a doctor treats a patient, he has to take into account thelatter's physical, mental and spiritual beings.The Zoroastrian College is a prime educator of this branch of study inIndia. The college is affiliated to prestigious universities like the UNPeace University, Central America, the Open International University forComplimentary Medicines in Sri Lanka and the Medicina AlternativaInternational in the USSR. It has branches in Mumbai and Sanjan inGujarat.
The various departments of the college teach Avesta and Zoroastrianreligious scriptures, scriptures of other religions, holistic healthsciences, alternative medicine, ecology and environmental and occult andmystic sciences, including astrology.
The Mumbai chapter of the college conducts several certificate courses andseminars on holistic sciences. The diagnostic methods as taught in theseprogrammes include pendulum dousing, nine parts mazdayasnie method, chakras,aura, kirlian photography, electro crystal energy field, iridiology, narivaid system and medical astrology. The method treatment includesspectro-chrome-metry, colour therapy, mantras, sound and music vibrationstherapy, energising and balancing chakras, electro crystal therapy, gems andcrystals therapy, karma cleaning, bio-therapy, su jok and Chineseacupuncture meridiens, distance healing and touch healing systems.
Dr Meher Master Moos, president of the college, says that some of thecourses are not taught anywhere else in the world. The college extendsindependent research opportunities to interested students. One can pursue aB Phil, M Phil or Ph D programme in the subject under the guidance of aninternational panel of advisors.
The college also arranges special seminars for corporate executives andtheir families.
As a part of its global plan, the college is organising the Holistic HealthSciences Millennium World Congress at the Russian Cultural Centre in Mumbaiduring January 7-9, 2000.
The Congress, being the world's leading forum for aura scientific researchpresentations, will exhibit the latest holistic health diagnostic methods onaura kirlian photography. It will focus on ancient cosmic wisdom methods,Ayurveda, unani, yoga, homoeopathy, nature cure, colour therapy,spectro-chrome-metry, magnet therapy, pyramid therapy, aroma therapy,natural herbal medicine, teletherapy, music, sound and mantra therapy,chakras attunement and other spiritual methods for maintaining goodhealth.
It will also present preventive healthcare methods based on waterpurification, khazakh technology and environmental pollution prevention.Moos, who is the founder of the college, is the first Indian to be awardedthe United Nations Dag Hammarskjold Award in 1986. She is the only personfrom India to be conferred the Albert Schweitzer Medal for humanitarian workfrom Poland in 1998.
She was conferred the medal for Inter Faith Peace by Pope John Paul in 1986and is the only lady in India to be knighted and conferred the title of Damein five countries. She is also a pioneer of kirlian avsa photography andmazdayasnie nine parts diagnostic techniques in India.
Moos is a prolific writer and has authored 15 books on international law,altrenative medicines and ancient occult wisdom of the mazdayasniezarathustrian daena.
