Kochi,DECEMBER 9: Kochi-based Kott Software, a company offering software solutions, has entered into a tie-up with Washington-based Westex International. The 50:50 joint venture (JV) is poised to offer a wide range of software solutions to the clients in the US market. The equity swap of the JV has been finalised.It would be formalised after getting necessary clearances from the government. ``The JV hopes to have a turnover of $1.6 million in the first year of operation. The company expects to touch a turnover of $25 million in the next three years,'' director of Kott Software, Deepak Mathew said.
The company will employ around 75 personnel for its US operations in the next one year. It will provide web-based client servicing and on-line solutions. With the JV Kott Software will provide an opportunity to have a direct access to the US market, he said. At present, Kott software is offering services in financial accounting, stock and inventory control, production and planning control, billing and invoicing, MIS and reports.
The company had also developed a state-of-the-art software package for hospitality industry. The price for the preliminary package is Rs 80,000 and a full version costs Rs 4.5 lakh.
