Chinese ISP major plans overseas listing

Singapore, Dec 16: China's largest privately-owned Internet service provider (ISP) will aggressively seek global alliances and is planning an overseas listing, a senior company executive said. Low-profile Shenzhen-based Rayes Group Co. Ltd, China's first and largest private ISP, sees aggressive strategic alliances with foreign content providers and portals as its key strategy for 2000, vice-president Dragon Lu told Reuters.The Rayes Group was also actively preparing for a listing in Hong Kong or the US technology market Nasdaq, Lu said.
