Priyagold's new offerings
Priyagold biscuits, a brand from Surya Food and Agro Pvt Ltd, has added two more products to its wide variety of products - Magic Gold and Nice Day. Targeted at young growing children Magic Gold is a glucose biscuit priced at Rs 5 for 100 gms and Rs 12 for 250 gms. Nice Day-a sugar sprinkled biscuit made with desiccated coconut powder is targeted at all age groups. Packed attractively, Nice Day is priced at Rs 10 and Rs 18 for 150 and 300 gms respectively.Skippy soft drink concentrate test launched
Bestfoods India, the 74 per cent subsidiary of the $8.4 billion International Bestfoods Limited is test marketing a soft drink concentrate under the Skippy brand name in Mumbai. Priced at Rs 30 for a 150 ml bottle, Skippy Soft Drink Concentrate is available in mango, orange and pineapple flavours. The other product available under the Skippy name is a ready-to-eat jelly introduced in the confectionery market early last year.
And now Doy Care for adults
After experimenting with the kids segment for close to two years, soap manufacturer VVF Limited has quietly launched a soap for adults in Mumbai. Christened `Doy Care', the product is priced at Rs 20 for every 100 gm pack. Although `Doy Care' is not targeted at kids, it is a moulded soap bar which resembles a female face, very much like the `Doy for kids,' which came in interesting animal shapes to appeal to children. Whether this USP will help VVF Limited make a mark in the highly saturated market for soaps remains to be seen.
Ayurvedic Concepts' introduces digestives
The Himalaya Drug Company's Ayurvedic Concepts Digestive capsules and syrup are herbal anti-flatulent digestive formulations for improved appetite and digestion. Priced at Rs 50 for a bottle of 60 capsules and Rs 23 for a 120 ml bottle, the product is available in all major cities. The products are made from natural ingredients and herbs, which provide effective curative values. The product is targeted at those who consume fast foods or carbonated drinks on account of fast paced life.
Modi Xerox launches document centre
Modi Xerox has launched Document Centre System 332/340 ST, priced at Rs 6.20 lakh. The Internet-ready product supports a range of multiple tasks like scanning, copying, fascimile, network printing, collation etc. Positioned to create an office within a office, the product has recorded a Customer Care Satisfaction rating of 92.3 per cent in 1999 following its worldwide launch.
