HCL Infosystems bags orders worth Rs 125 cr in three months

New Delhi, Jan 6: HCL Infosystems has bagged a clutch of orders worth over Rs 125 crore in last three months which include solutions for a range of sectors such as banking, defence, infotech, telecom, manufacturing, government, education and infrastructure.

"These encompass the entire range of offering of the company, including large enterprise systems and customised IT services and are reflective of our vast range, responsiveness to the needs of customers and the trends prevalent in the industry," said general manager marketing Sharad Talwar.

Among the orders are three large ones from Sahara India, Western Air Command and ICICI, amounting to about Rs 30 crore. In the banking and finance sector, orders have also been bagged from Vijaya Bank, Punjab National Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce and the Bombay Stock Exchange.

From the government sector, the awardees include National Informatics Centre (NIC) and C-DOT. Others include Lucent Technologies, ST Microelectronics, Ericsson Hewlett-Packard Telecom, BPL, Veritas, IIT Kanpur, IIS Bangalore, Apparel Export Promotion Council, KSRTC and Southern Railways.

"It reflects our focus on developing solutions for emerging technology trends and user applications. In this quarter, we have significantly increased our emphasis on services," added Talwar.

The company has also bagged a prestigious order from IIT Kharagpur to supply complete end-to-end customer relationship management (CRM) solution from Pivotal Corporation of USA. The company had tied up with Pivotal recently.
