New Delhi, January 7: Maruti Udyog Limited (MUL) is planning to launch the recently introduced luxury car Baleno in station-wagon and diesel versions.The company would be testing waters for these versions along with the CNG-powered version of Wagon-R and Esteem at the Auto Expo 2000 to be held here from January 12, MUL chief general manager Rohtash Mal told newspersons here on Friday. The company would also be showcasing several other models from the Suzuki stable such as the Grand Vitara, Every Plus space wagon, Suzuki every electric vehicle, Kei sports car, Carry pick-up and refrigerated vans and a C2 concept car in addition to its existing line-up at the fair.
``We will using this fair as a platform to test consumer acceptance and response to all the models. Based on the response here, we would decide on introduction of any particular model at a later date,'' Mal added. In all, 20 vehicles would be put on display. The Suzuki Grand Vitara is a 5-door 4X4 vehicle while Suzuki every is a space wagon, designed as a versatile vehicle on four wheels.
