Indo-Bangla train services to begin this month-end
JANUARY 6: The train services between India and Bangladesh will commence from this month-end, railway minister Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday. At first, only goods train would run between the two countries which would be followed by passenger trains, Banerjee said, adding that an agreement with the Bangladesh government would be signed in third week of January in this regard.The railways minister was addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone for electrification on Barasat-Hasnabad section of Eastern Railway at Barasat, about 30 km from Calcutta.
