Order on shifting of SW Rly HQ
JANUARY 6: The Karnataka high court on Thursday reserved orders on a writ petition filed by Kannadapara Sanghatanegala Okkuta, an organisation of Kannada outfits, challenging the decision of the Union government to transfer the South Western Railway zonal office from Bangalore to Hubli.A divison bench comprising Chief Justice Y Bhaskara Rao and Justice V Gopala Gowda, reserved orders on completion of arguments of both sides. The main contention of the petitioner was that the impugned decision of the Central government was politically motivated and would result in huge financial loss and create administrative problems.
