New Delhi, Jan 19: The Delhi-based shoemaker Liberty group is considering restructuring its operations by merging the various group companies in the flag-ship listed company Liberty Shoes Ltd."We are planning to consolidate the group operations by merging the various companies into one entity-Liberty Shoes Ltd and we have appointed global consultancy firm KPMG for this purpose," Liberty Shoes executive director Adarsh Gupta said. Currently the group has five-six companies with total turnover of around Rs 270 crore. "Restructuring of the group operations will help in better utilisation of the resources and also enhance shareholders value," he said. Liberty sells its footwear under the brand names-Windsor, Force 10, Senorita, Gliders, Coolers.
"These brands are owned by various group companies and with the consolidation of the various companies, their (brands) value will be evaluated which in turn will enhance shareholders value," Gupta said.
